Paralyzed Man Down Through The Roof

Paralyzed man down through the roof.

Jesus had healed people before even people who were paralyzed. When the man s friends carried him to the house where jesus was staying they found the house to be packed with people wanting to hear jesus and be healed by him. When jesus saw how much faith these four men had he not only healed the paralyzed man he even forgave him of all his sins. They lowered their friend down to the place where jesus was.

It may not be easy but if each of us will do our part together we can succeed. Jesus was impressed by the faith of these men. 19 but not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher into the middle of the crowd in front of jesus. The bible says that after digging through the roof the men lowered the mat that the paralyzed man was lying on down to where jesus was.

The friends climbed up an outside staircase and dug a hole through the roof. They dug through it and let down the mat on which the paralyzed man was lying. When jesus saw their faith he said friend your sins are forgiven the pharisees and the. Since they couldn t bring him to jesus because of the crowd they made an opening in the roof over the place where he was.

18 and some men were carrying on a bed a man who was paralyzed. Because the friends could not get through the crowd they carried their friend to the roof and lowered him down to jesus. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before jesus. And they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of him.

The account of the healing of the paralyzed man in mark 2 1 12 contains a number of lessons for growing christians. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd right in front of jesus. An awning is not a roof and it is rolled up not broken up moreover the man was let down through the tiles which seems to indicate that the remaining tiles encased an opening through which he was lowered.

Plus the roof wasn t made with large pieces of wood and didn t have shingles but had tiles or plaster that could be lifted or broken through easily to make a hole.
